Previously opened up or not?

Hello everyone:
Is there any way to tell whether a MacBook has been previously opened up or not? A friend of mine is thinking about purchasing one and is concerned whether the previous owner ever took it apart for exploration/hardware work.

well if he gets it in the box it came in...and it appears to be un opened thats a good indication

I think if the person who took it apart knew what they were doing, there'd be no way to tell.

That's true. If they knew what they were doing, you would have no way of knowing.
Refer to ifixit.com and look for access points to get the Macbook open. If you see any sort of wear on the screws or lip of the Macbook, there is a chance it was opened.
