Hi all:

Yesterday I tried to update my os x 10.4.0 to 10.4.1 and the system came up with that the disk doesn´t meet the requierements.
The thing is that I just installed it.
I allready repair the disc permissions and went through all the scripts.
Please help, I want to run parallels.

Are you upgrading to 10.4.1 or 10.4.10? Completely different version. If it's 10.4.10, a friend who had to do an Archive and Install and is back to 10.4.0 just had the same message. We are working on a Fix and I will get back to you if it works.

I just tried that update and still the same.
One more thing that I didn´t realized is that my osx´s dvd comes with 10.4.3.
But This update should work for 10.4.3 as well, isn´t?
My computer is a Dual G5 2.0Ghz, with 1Gb Ram.
As I told you I just install the os x 10.4.3 in my Mac so, do you think that could be because some hardware problem?

Thanx again for your time:

David

I doubt it's a hardware issue because it's happening to my friends iMac which is in perfect shape. I am still waiting to hear from him. It might be tomorrow morning. Yes 10.4.3 would work fine with that combo updater.

Edit: Friend never got back to me but try this. Grab an older Combo updater like even 10.4.8 or 9 and see if that updates your 10.4 system. Let me know.

Sure post away. My friend got back to me. Going to the 10.4.9 Combo did it for him.

you can't run parallels on a PPC computer, you need an intel machine.

I still have not found any info to help besides what I told you at first. Still looking, but as the other user said no Parallels on a PPC Mac.
