Hi

I'm getting a new MacBook Pro through my new job so I'm selling this machine to my brother in law, both me and him want to put this machine back to the state it was in when i first took it out the box (i.e. wiping everything and just having it nice and clean and fresh for him)...I still have the OSX install CD's, can some let me know how to go about this and also let me know of any risks?

Thanks in advance

No risks... Simply insert the install disk... then reboot while holding "C"... then go through the process of reformatting and installing OS X.

Viola! Brand New OS X!

Whats it called when you do a low level format? where it runs over it a few times? I can't recall what OS X Calls it at the moment... LOL. but wouldn't that be a good way to make sure its very clean? :)

One reformat should be fine. Do not worry about multiple writings.
