Hi...I'm new to this so hopefully I'm not missing anything obvious. I own a few DVD movies that I'd like to record some of the soundtrack. Can anyone help?

Ok, here goes,

You can get a 1/4 inch to 1/4 inch stereo jack cable, and plug from speakers out to speakers in, then using Garage Band and VLC play the parts of the soundtrack you want.

You can rip the movie with Handbrake, then demux (separate) the audio from the video and then import the audio to Garageband for cutting and editing.

Or, buy the soundtrack from itunes if offered.

Best,
