iDisk in "left" side of finder menu

Last night I was trying to make a shortcut to my "iDisk" on the desktop and dragged the "iDisk" icon from the "left" pane (the pane with Macintosh HD, Network) to the desktop. While this did in fact put it on my desktop, now it is not where it was in the finder. I would really like to put it back there but it won't let me drag and drop the icon back. I have read info on putting it in the "taskbar" above this area, but I just want it back where it was. Thanks for the help.
