Will movies play flawless from an external HD via USB 2.0?
That's all I need to know :x.
I'm buying this HD (Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 500GB SATA2 16MB 7200RPM) and this enclosure (Akasa Integral P2 HD-enclosure for 3.5" IDE/SATA, aluminium, USB 2.0/eSATA)

They play just as well as they would if they were on your internal HD. I keep my movie collection on my external, and I just play them off of that, whether it's with a USB cord or streaming over the network.

And... if you create an alias of your drive in your movies folder, you can access the drive from Frontrow. I've not yet tested this, but I got this from one of the threads going around...

Right-click > create alias (Alias in OS X = (intelligent) shortcut in Windows)
