Hi,

I have a 2.16ghz MacBook which I purchased new 4 months ago.

Yesterday, the screen suddenly went dim and highlighted a message saying I should immediately restart. So I tried, now it won't go beyond the 'Mac OSX - Mac OSX Starting' screen.

Any advice or recommendations would be helpful, as I'm currently travelling round the world and the Mac is something I really need to have working properly!

Cheers

Your Mac's Specs
iMac Core Duo 20", iBook G4, iPhone 8GB :)
Did you recently upgrade to 10.4.10?

Anyway, try the safe mode while booting up (Press and hold shift after the startup "bhaaang" chime) and see it it gets to the OS.

If not, boot from the OS X DVD (press C after the chime) and open Disk Utility and then repair disk permissions...
