Administrator Privileges To Install Painter IX?

Trying to install Painter IX on my Power Mac G5, I get this:

The software to be installed requires Administrator or higher level access privileges.

I never have this issue when installing an application. I'm the only one using this machine, so I don't understand.

Suggestions and/or solutions will be much appreciated.

My apologies if this is not the place to post this. I did do a search before hand.

I found the problem. Had to disable an anti-virus app.
