I just wanted to post that I recently purchased an Acomdata 320GB Mini-Pal external USB/Firewire 400 HDD with hub and it works very well. Silent due to it's lack of a fan, yet still it never overheats, even while sitting underneath my C2D Mac Mini. I don't use the Retrospect Express bundled software since I use the .mac Backup software. However, be aware that the Retrospect Express software that ships with the unit does not work properly untill you install the patch which is available at the Retrospect web site. I would recomment this drive to anyone looking for a quiet and elegant external HDD with built in USB/FW400 hub capabilities for their Mac Mini. I bought it after returning my noisy Lacie Mini 500GB whose fan sounded like a Cessna taxiing for takeoff.
