What kind of programs do you use to design web sites? I dont mean these where you can click one button and you have web site. I want some kind of program where you can write a html or php code and save these to .php files. I know one to linux (bluefish) but I didn't manage to install it to my mac.

I just use dreamweaver for php editing. You can also try TextWrangler which is free. But although dw is clunky, it is still a better editor all up.

Hi

New question about this, saves starting a new topic.

I am using Coda, syntax and navigation wise its great. But can it be set up to Preview at a specific Prefix. I have all my my sites in the Sites folder, and I use MAMP to point to that folder. So when I preview a page I want it to go to http://localhost/MAMP/my_site_name

Is there any way to do this?

The my_site_name will change depending on the containing folder within the Sites folder, so the prefix would be http://localhost/MAMP

Thanks for any help

Edit: Ah ha, I think I have found it, I went to the Sites tab at the top, then imported my Transmit FTP accounts, now I am configuring them all. This looks like what I wanted.
