Is anyone else having any problems with the newest release of firefox? I have no plug-ins at all anymore and it's STILL crashing. It's crashed at least 15 times with in the last 3 hours.

Anyone having the same problems?

Nope, no problems here.

Do you have any extensions installed?

none, i uninstalled everything, I tried camino, and it did the same thing. I opened safari and it crashed after a while of use.

So, now I'm thinking it could be a RAM issue or something, but it's only with web browsers, I've had photoshop open all day yesterday and it wasn't effected. Nothing else has crashed except the browsers.

Ever since 2.0 FF has been quite crashy for a bunch of people I know...

But perhaps it's certain sites you're visiting?

FF has been crashing alont here too. Prompted me to do some digging around. According to Activity Monitor, FF seems to use about 2x the memory of Safari. I've never used Safari until the FF crash thing, but it actually seems to run faster than FF. Has anyone else noticed this? I'm running the latest Safari Beta and FF 2.0.0.6 as comparison.

FF has been getting worse for me with each release. I switched to Opera on my MacBook, but I'm using FF2.0.0.6 on this iMac without problems so far. I'll probably switch to Opera on here, too, though, as FF is showing signs of becoming unstable bloatware, IMO.

I dont know whats goin on with the new build of Firefox... I use to love it... its a last resort now.

Try backing up and deleting you .plist files (whichever ones relate to Firefox)?

Anyone know how to roll back Safari 3 Beta to Safari 2? The Beta seems to keep my other apps from launching after it has been running for awhile. The dock icons just jump up and down endlessly and the fan kicks in but no apps launch. Takes a reboot to set everything right again.

just go to the apple site and download the beta again. inside the .dmg there should be an uninstall package and it will rol it back for you.
