So I just on Monday started using VoIP instead of a normal phone line. I went with Vonage and have been very impressed so far. Sound quality is excellent, even when downloading or uploading huge files and watching Quicktime streams (like the WWDC Keynote ;) ).

That was the biggest thing I was afraid of was the bandwidth issues. And secondly was the configuration of the phone adaptor messing up my network, but I just plugged it in and it works.

I'm in love with all the features the VoIP providers have like online call tracking and voicemail, free unlimited long distance, e-mailing you when you get voicemail (and send an attachment too). There's alot, most of which I haven't even used yet. All for cheaper than a regular phone line.

Anyone else use VoIP? What do you guys think?

Oh and if anyone wants to give Vonage a try, let me know and I can get your second month free.

Awesome! I've really been looking into this, but I just havent been sure yet. My wife and I both have our own cell phones and we don't even have a home phone, but if/when we do.. Im seriously thinking of going this route. I would love to hear more as you get more experience with it.
