Hey -
Im an art student getting ready to attend art center college of design and i need a laptop. Something (preferably a mac) that can easily run corel painter x and photoshop cs3 side by side for hours and hours a day, at least 5 days a week. (lag/ crashing/ or any sort of draw backs when i'm working is not an option for me.) Ive done some research, and im pretty sure the 15.4 " macbook pro with 2.4ghz dual core, 2gb ram, 160gb, nvidia 8600 256mb, etc etc (the $2500 version), would be sufficient enough to do the job. Yes? No? any similar situations? help would be greatly appreciated.
- thanks

Your Mac's Specs
15in MBP 2.5GHz Core2Duo | 1.83Ghz Dual G5 PowerMac | 2.0 GHz Dual G5 PowerMac
I'm going for a simliar art degree, graphics design this year too, except i'm going to a 4 year college, not one that's for purely art. I bought the some MBP that you have described, and i love it. I have Design Premium installed and i run Photoshop and Illustrator side by side a lot, as well as a whole bunch of other programs.
