Hi I haven't touched a mac since I was in elementry!! I am looking at getting the new imac and need some opinions...

Whats your opinion? 20" or the 24"? Does the 24" really worth the money? What size would you get if you have a choice to make the decision again?

20in. I think the 24in is too big for an iMac.

24" and I would pair it with an eyetv and it would double as a tv in my bedroom...

Depends on your needs and how much you can afford. I saw both the 20" and 24" at the Apple Store and the 24" is absolutely gorgeous. If you can afford it, definitely go with the larger screen (though 20" is nothing to sneeze at, it too looks amazing)

If you're going to go, go all out! I just looked at both the 20" and 24" yesterday and I would say that I would have to get the 24" even if it meant saving money and waiting a little longer.

Although 24" is sure:
- bigger
- nicer
- more impressive

do you really need it?
and is it worth your money?

I think a 20" would just do fine too,

I think most of the pc users have 20" or less, don't think 24" is used that much

I am now on a 17", and that is just fine in my eyes, but 20" is in my eyes just the best

24 inches is amazing. If money is not an issue, definitely 24 inch. And pump up the RAM or else...

If that "little" bit of money doesn't matter, then better to go 24" and not be sorry later.

Although, I have the 20" and I've never been sorry yet. The 20" seems much larger when you get it home on a desktop.

BUT....if you're really wanting the 24, then I'd say go for it. Good luck and let us know what you decided.

I would definitely get the 24" if I could afford it, but the 20" i have is definitely a very good choice not too small not too big.

I got the 24" and love every inch of this big beautiful screen with plenty of real estate.....and I'll never think "maybe I shoulda..." But depends on your needs, wants, budget, etc....

I measured out the 24" at home, and it's bigger than my TV! I would get the 20" unless I was going to use it as a TV, then I'd get the 24". The 20 incher would still be great, imho.

I have the white 24" iMac. I have EyeTV hooked up to it and it lives in my living room. When I am sitting in front of it for work it feels big. When I am sitting on my couch watching a DVD it feels perfect.

20" is sufficient

Unless you plan on sitting about 20 feet away from your iMac I dont see any reason to get the 24". We have the new 20" sitting at the back of our desk, and even still the display is large enough that it is not necessary to be larger.

I prefer not to have neck strain moving my head back and fourth to view the whole screen.

I sure hope I don't regret ordering the 24" Imac. I'm still waiting for it to come. I thought the 20" was pretty nice, but figured since I had the money, I should go for the larger one because I thought I'd probably regret it after if I got the smaller one. Hopefully I'll love it!
