Battery problems... sort of.

Hi.

Got my new iPod Nano today and its been charged up good and well. The "Charged" picture/message is dispalyed. But strange thing is when I unplug it from the USB and start using it the battery claims t be almost out. Not very full and in red like it wont last much longer... What could be up?
