20" iMac Core 2 Duo 2.16Ghz, 500GB HDD, 1GB RAM, 128MB ATI Radeon X1600
Final Cut Express hasn't been updated since May 18, 2006. Do you think I should buy it soon, or do you think there will be a new update?

This is starting to look like another AppleWorks.

MBP CD 1.83/2ghz/7200 100g + Mini 2ghz C2D 2gb + Mini 1.42ghz G4 + PM 7200/120 + Newton OMP
I hope there isn't an update too soon, since I just bought a copy a few days ago :)

The good news is that the upgrade price is currently just under a c-note, and hopefully Apple will keep a low-cost upgrade path if there is an update coming soon.

I think I'm just gonna buy it. Like my policy with hardware - if it ain't broke, Apple can't fix it, they can only make it slightly less broke.
