Hundreds of windows at opening!

Hey guys,

I made the stupid mistake yesterday, after transfering all my music from my mac mini to my mac pro, I opened all the folders at the same time.

Now I closed them once me sing the apple button and w but every time I turn my mac on again or reset it or relaunh finder they are still there.


Help me please!

find the finder plist file.

delete it.

restart.

I think what Eric is talking about is in:

Users/Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

or you could have used spotlight. ;)

This is where you'll find the com.apple.finder.plist (Finder preference file):

Macintosh HD -> Users -> your user account -> Library -> Preferences -> com.apple.finder.plist



Edited to add:

I used spotlight but because it had com. I wasn't sure if that was it!

well now you know where those are... you can solve lots of weird little issues by removing (or renaming to be safe) these files. :)
