Hundreds of windows at opening!

Hey guys,

I made the stupid mistake yesterday, after transfering all my music from my mac mini to my mac pro, I opened all the folders at the same time.

Now I closed them once me sing the apple button and w but every time I turn my mac on again or reset it or relaunh finder they are still there.


Help me please!

find the finder plist file.

delete it.

restart.

But do you have any idea where this might be?

I think what Eric is talking about is in:

Users/Username/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist

or you could have used spotlight.

That is how I found it!

This is where you'll find the com.apple.finder.plist (Finder preference file):

Macintosh HD -> Users -> your user account -> Library -> Preferences -> com.apple.finder.plist

I used spotlight but because it had com. I wasn't sure if that was it!

well now you know where those are... you can solve lots of weird little issues by removing (or renaming to be safe) these files.
