And who thought it was important, smart, heartbreaking, and utterly brilliant? I did.

Oh, I can't wait to see it! I've heard it's kinda depressing, though...My brother saw it, and he told me that. I mean, he absolutely loved it, but he said that it is kinda depressing.

Oh, and BTW, the title isn't "Fahrenheight 9/11". "Fahrenheight" isn't a word. It's "Fahrenheit 9/11".

There was a lot of stormy debate about it in the newgrounds forums. Many felt it was propaganda and such, I guess I better see it

Oops, my bad. FAHRENHEIT is the correct spelling. Yeah, I encourage all you guys to see it and then make your own decisions.

But if anyone thinks it's propoganda and that our president is actually a good, good man, i'd be happy to argue.

I just watched it a second time, only because I dragged more of my friends to see it. I'm trying to get them all to register to vote.

I have no interest in seeing it. When I go to see a movie, I go for entertainment -- not to see biased (even if somewhat accurate) op/ed pieces.

But it's oh so entertaining to see Bush's many great, memorable, and foolish lines where he speaks in a way that leads you to believe he never had a single grammar lesson in his life.

Sorry, I just have better things to do with my time than go to see movies that give one-sided political opinions. If I decide to watch something on politics, I want to see complete, unedited pieces so I can make up my own mind.

Sirlan - no doubt Michael Moore defines bias. Anyone who knows his work knows that he takes a strong viewpoint and will present everything that fits only his case. In fact, despite the fact that I support his work and am against our current president, I can easily admit that most of Fahrenheit 9/11 must be taken with a grain of salt. Much of the arguments he makes (through narration and juxtaposition of footage) is accomplished simply through the magic of editing.

For example, he'll show footage of dying Iraqis and bombs going off in Bahgdad, then cut to footage of a soldier or politican saying something that seems incredibly cruel and insensitive. However, the reality is that they may be talking about something TOTALLY different, but when taken out of context, sounds like they're the biggest A-holes alive.

The important part of this film are the facts that Moore presents. Not his propoganda, not his crazy and wacky mixing and matching of footage, but the facts. Such as Bush's ties to the Saudi's. Such as allowing 23 Saudi's, including 6 or so members of Bin Laden's family, to fly out of the country when all American's were grounded. Such as going into Iraq when they had absolutely nothing to do with the 9/11 attacks, as confirmed by the CIA, FBI, and the 9/11 Commission.

So yes, while this documentary (and I know some of you refuse to even call it that) is extremely skewed and slanted, I think instead of ignoring it for that fact, it might be worthwhile to watch so as to help you make a more informed opinion. If you know your stuff and are steadfast about your viewpoint, a film like this will most likely not change your opinion. What's important is that you hear arguments from both sides, extremist or not, and make your own decision.

And vote!

the funny thing is the people who posted on this thread saying they don't want a 1 sided opinion are just as opinionated, just on the other end of the spectrum. also, how are you going to get a "both side" opinion if you don't listen to the other side? i found the movie entertaining, and it did raise some good points.

i for one never liked bush, and since he never was elected i don't view him as my president. also not being able to speak in complete thoughts without hilarious grammatical errors and mispronunciations doesn't make him the most qualified person to be president.

Nicholas -- the problem is that you never really know what is fact and what is MM's version of "fact". If I have to check everything MM says to see if it really is true, then why should I even bother seeing the movie? I'll just research things myself and save my money. MM can spout off whatever he wants and I'm sure many out there will eat it up as the gospel truth. I'm just not going to pay to see him do it. I don't like sensationalist editorializing regardless of which side does it.

Saab Pimp -- Michael Moore isn't the end-all be-all of "the other side". I do listen to both sides. I just do not listen to extremists. I do not listen to the fanatical "no blood for oil" protestors and I do not listen to the "my country, right or wrong, love it or leave it" so-called patriots. I let a politician's actions speak for themselves. If you want to see Moore's movie, that's entirely up to you. It would be a waste of my time, though.

heh, well that's fine. i myself am a liberal but not a democrat. i hate politics. and i am not a kerry supporter, as i have found that he changes his mind about almost everything that matters. and my comment wasn't really directed at you or anybody in particular, just a general statement.

in fact, if you want to get right down to it, the only "perfect" system of government is true communism, in which there is no government. but the only problem with communism is that it's idealistic and not realistic. and don't start in on the "U R COMMI!" bull. even soviet russia wasn't a communistic society. USSR = United Soviet SOCIALIST Republic.

Although while communism makes all people equal (I mean heck, China has almost no national hunger, and for a population of that size, that's an INCREDIBLE feat), it is still run by those select few that you'd be hard pressed to distinguish between leader and dictator.

ah, quick question: since when is "omg" considered profanity?

@nicholas
i agree, which is why i called it an idealistic form of government as opposed to a realistic one.
