Apple 17" Studio Display

Well you'll all be pleased to know I am going Mac this year, got my wife a MacBook for XMAS which she loves (and has been my playground too) and soon to get myself a Pro.

I have an opportunity to buy a oldish 17" Apple Studio Display quite cheap, and understand it may need some converters to work with a MacBook Pro, and external power supply for it.

Is this possible and what do I need?
