I have attached a screenshot. Can anyone suggest any ideas as to how to get around this problem? I have had VNC working correctly for months - no settings have been changed and I have enountered the display shown in the picture today!

Thanks

Chris

You have to put tin foil around the rabbit ears.

Or, restart the VNC service on the Xserve. You may have to restart the whole server.
That screen shot looks like an OpenGL hickup. Restarting VNC or changing the resolution may refresh/fix it.

Can you connect a monitor to the xserve and see if it looks the same?

Tried restarting the xServe with no effect. Also tried two different VNC clients on both Mac and Windows platforms. Unfortunately I can't connect a monitor as the xServe only has a mini-DVI port and I don't have the required adapters!

Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Are you using OSXVNC or the built in Apple Remote Desktop?

Same here

Chris,

Did you get a fix for this? I have the same issue connecting from a Windows XP machine using TightVNC to a Mac Mini running 10.4.10. See attached Thumbnail.

Thanks

Gavin
