*EMERGENCY* No One Can Play My Converted .Mov Files...HELP!!

I have a 19mb .mov file that i would like converted...

i tried converting it to wmv but my recipient said that only 7 seconds (of the 23 second video) played...

is this a common problem? what other files can i convert it to?

can windows xp users play avi and mpgs regularly without downloading codecs??


obviously the program i used doesnt work very well since it couldnt convert the mov into a playable wmv file....PLEASE HELP its an emergency! i need to do this asap.


ALOT is riding on this and i cant go into detail but pls help

Tell them to download QuickTime or VLC.

Failing that, a non-propriety format like MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 (better) would be your best option.

agreed on that. Try mpg, or mp4 - and a simple codec pack to get for windows is Cole2K codec pack. It will let them play all kinds of files in WMP.
