ibook boot sequence

hello,

i have an ibook tangerine (1999) and im trying to boot my yellow dog linux cd on the machine.

it is currently running os8.6. Can someone please tell me how i reconfigure to boot sequence on this machien so i can boot off the cd-rom.

for real??

i figured most mac users would know how to change the boot sequence or boot from an iso disc.
