Glowy...thing

What kind of mac laptop has a glowy apple logo on it? I feel as if I've seen that before. I must have it.

the ibook and powerbooks both have glowing apples on the back of the LCD

Wrong!!

Actually, the light comes from the TFT's backlighting, if you reduce the brightness, you also reduce the glow of the apple logo. However, if your using your powerbook on the windowsill on a bright sunny day, this will cause the centre of your display to be slightly lighter than the rest. And when sleeping, you can just about make out the logo on the dimmed display (i don't always close it)

Well I wasn't entirely off, and that without the benefit of seeing a Powerbook post 23 floor express descent

I can laugh about it now!... haha!! I have first hand experience of seeing the innards of a PB17... anyone got a spare TFT? Pref, one for this PB. I wanna rebuild...
