How do I uninstall a program???

(Coming from windows land...)

I've got an iMac 24", how the heck do I uninstall a program?

The wife installed Yahoo Messenger, and I want to get rid of it. Do I just delete it from the Applications folder and that's it?

Thanks...this thing ROCKS!!!

An app called "app zapper" will help for all those apps which leave assorted flies around the place. It'll delete all those associated files also.
