printing thru powered usb hub

I have a mini with two usb ports. In my neck of the woods (Costa Rica) I connect thru usb to the web which leaves only one port for keyboard, printers, scanners etc. Got a D-Link DUB-H7 hub to connect everything. Printing to a HP Deskjet 3940 will not work. What do I do?
