Hi all,
I purchased the 2.16GHz White MacBook from the Apple UK Store a week or two ago and have been having a few issues since.
Lately it's been occurring when I'm using Safari, Apple Remote Desktop or Transferring over the network but the MacBook beach ball icon comes on and doesn't disappear. Sometimes it only appears when I hover over the top right of the screen where the Airport and Bluetooth icons are.
Force quitting applications doesn't help as they still don't close down. Finder relaunches but the ball doesn't disappear and if I choose to shutdown or restart then the MacBook doesn't actually shutdown or restart. The only way to turn off is to hold the power button down until it knocks off.
I ran the Apple Hardware test and it didn't alert me to any problems.
I've done two clean installs and the problem still persists.
Any ideas or is this going to have to be sent back to Apple?
Paul
