smtp password

How can I reset this password - it comes up with a message that the one I imput is wrong therefore I cant use mail. Thanks

How do I reset the smtp password - when I try to send a mail using mac mail it keeps asking me for a password and I have no idea what it is !

Your Mac's Specs
Mac's
Your SMTP (outgoing) password is the same as your POP3 (incoming) password... This password is created with your email provider (Gmail, hotmail, maybe your ISP, Aol, etc.). You would need to "reset" it with whomever you use as an email provider.

In this case it should be the same as your .Mac login password I believe.
