Depends on what you need to use it for. If you plan on using it to play games in Boot Camp, take a look at gaming mice from Logitech, Razer, or Microsoft (I know I know, but MS makes decent mice).

If it's just as an alternative to the touchpad, any old mouse will do.

Despite a lot of negative opinion, I got a wireless Mighty Mouse and love it. The scroll ball did have problems after 8 months of use, but I took it to the Apple store and they replaced it almost instantly without any hassle at all. It's covered under my Apple Care plan for another 2+ years, which is more than I can say for any other mouse.

After using the little scroll ball, I like it a lot more than traditional scroll wheels. The low profile design is great for tossing it in my book bag without a lot of bulge, and the bluetooth connectivity connects quickly and means I don't have to use a USB adapter. One of the biggest things is the squeeze Expose function I couldn't live without now that I have it.

Yeah, buy the Wireless Mighty Mouse - it's the best and matches your Mac perfectly.

I prefer the Logitech V270 in silver. It's bluetooth (no adapter, connects in a couple seconds and almost no lag when mouse is power saving unlike some others I've used), I like the functionality better than the mighty mouse, and aesthetically it matches my MBP better than anything I've seen. On top of that, you can usually find it for around $35. I got it on Amazon for $35 plus a $10 mail in rebate... can't beat that!

So if you have the Apple Care plan for your laptop then the mouse is covered also?
