How to tell if CPU is bad?

I just replaced the logic board and ram on my Powermac G5 1.6ghz. I still can't get it to work.

How do I find out if the CPU is bad?

The only way is to replace it with another one I'm afraid.

It's unusal for CPUs to die all of a sudden though. Have you looked at the PSU?

Boot from your recovery instaall meda, by pressing the option key instead of the c key. Then choose hardware diagnostic, followed by selecting the arrow button. Hopefully the full test will tell you if you have a problem of not.
