am thinking about getting the firewave external sound card for the macbook pro. i wanted to know if it was worth getting? does it compare to the products that creative comes out with? if this isnt a good sound card to get, please any advise on making the macbook pro 5.1 surround sound, am open to all advise. thanks.

I would be surprised if you could use a Creative sound card with a Mac: Creative, to my knowledge, only makes products for WinBoxes.
Here is a review of the Griffin FireWave. The review is to be taken with a grain of salt but the comments are worth the read. JackWhispers is a well-known guy in the Mac community and is very controversial, so I would read what he has to say about the product but weigh his words carefully.
