Alright so heres the problem,
my macbook randomly shuts down in the middle of doing my stuff like surfing the web.
i found out that leave the charger on the thing would make it stop doing that, but when its off after a few min or so it slides down a message that says to hold my power button to restart my mac.
this gets annoying all the time and i cant go downstairs to go watch tv w/o my charger.
is this because of the new update issued or is my mac crazy?

That message is a Kernel Panic. Have you added any After Market RAM (Memory) at all? Defective Ram is a big cause of Kernel Panics. Have you upgraded to OSX 10.4.10? Some users are getting Kernel Panics using Airport (Wireless) when running off Battery since the update.
