I have an older ibook; g3, 800mgh, 128 mb memory, os 10.3. I have tried to load tiger on it, and when I put the disk in it, it just spits it back out. I have tried putting the disk in when the computer is off and booting it when it loads, and the same thing happens. I really want tiger on my ibook. HOW CAN I GET IT TO WORK? :Shouting:

I suspect that the Tiger disc is a DVD and the machine only has a CD drive.

You can order a copy of Tiger on CD from Apple.

Yes, If the iBook only has a CD-Rom, it will NOT read the OS 10.4 disk, as it is a DVD by standard, however, CD's are available from Apple, for those who don't have the luxury of a DVD Drive. :)

I have 2 options for you:
Either get a usb/firewire external dvd drive, or try to split mac os x dvd into 2 discs (you will obviously need a computer that reads dvds)...don't really know how to do this, but I know it can be done!
