airport card vs. netgear router

Hi,
I have a netgear wireless router, I found that my clamshell G3 ibook and my friends titanium G4 ibook have trouble mounting the wireless network thru it. Is there any incompatibility report between the two hardware?? thank you!!

MacMini M-1 MacOS Monterey, iMac 2010 27"Quad I7 , MBPLate2011, iPad Pro10.5", iPhoneSE
I have a Netgear router here and have no issues connecting via Airport with it. Which Netgear router is is? Model Number please. Do both Macs have built in Airport cards? Are you using any encryption like WEP or WPA? What message do you get when it will not connect?

there should be no reason why it cannot connect. what kind of error are you getting? are you seeing the network? if so, can you just not log in?
