Have you actually managed to download anything yet?

Don' tblame Apple, it's the same with DVDs being released in Europe 20 years after they are in the US, with half the extras missing and for 4 times the price. Blame the studios...

Bear in mind that top shows like 24 and Battlestar Galactica release the iTunes Episode within a few hours of it airing ($2 for an ad-free show, worth every cent!) - which would be at least 6 months before Sky get their grubby hands on it. That's why the you can't have them.

That's what I thought. I live in Canada and i'm in the same situation where I can't buy any shows or movies. From what I understand only people who live in the United States can buy tv shows and movies.
Does anyone know when this capability of buying TV shows / movies will be available who don't live in the states.

I doubt Apple has anything to do with this. Making money in the UK or Canada is just as good as making money in the US. I'm sure they have people working on it, but it probably true that the networks and Studios are not allowing it so they can sell through more profitable distribution channels.

at least you all have iTunes store - here in HK we haven't even got the music store!!!

My solution was to get a trusting mate in the US to create an account for me against his credit card and then give him a cash deposit + top-ups when you need to.
