Apple Remote...no battery?

Does the Apple Remote have a battery in it?

If so, how does it charge?

If not, how does it function?

I just can't figure this out.

Theres a little button battery in it, when it dies you replace it.

I thought that button the bottom was just some sort of leftover from the manufacturing.

Does anyone ever use the remote?? I have never once used mine.

Once in a while...I would more if it worked with a second monitor

The battery powers a little light so the hamster can see what he's doing.

I use mine occasionally, usually to control iTunes from the other side of the room.

I use mine from time to time to control videos when I am sitting way back from the iMac. Also use it for itunes when I can't be right at the computer.

i think the remote would be functional for more people if you could customize its settins. if you could set it ta only control one app. even if it wasnt the one on top would be a big one for me. i do use mine for video though
