Hi all

Recently, I noticed that when my intel MacBook Pro is running on battery, it will suddenly automatically power off (without a clean shutdown sequence). The battery meter shows no less then 50% or so. It has happened a couple of times now. The firmware etc is all the latest version....
Any ideas? :(

I'm thinking it's your logic board. Take it to the Applestore or call applecare to schedule a factory repair.

I recently had the same problem when I updated to the latest OS (OS X 10.4.10). I took it to the Apple store, and they suggested I perform an Archive & Install. I did so with the cd's my MBP came with, then did the full software updates. So far, I haven't had any problems with my laptop shutting off unexpectedly.
