Formac LCD stopping startup.

Hi

I have a problem with one of my monitors.
Its a formac gallery and has no external power supply, so it gets it supply from the mac.

Basically when the screen is connect to the mac it wont start up, the zip drive light just flashes.
If i unplug the screen all is ok and it starts up fine.
I have tried this on 2 separate macs and it happens on both.

I take it the screen is knackerd or is it reparable ??
