Can I automatically sync notes with an ipod?

Hi,

I just got an ipod and I'd like to keep a To Do list on it that I can keep updated.
I was thinking about making an Automator workflow that would delete the note already on the ipod, and then add a new ipod note with the contents of a text file I keep on my computer. But can I get this to run whenever the ipod is synced?
