I am trying to have 2 libraries on my Mac. I started ITunes with the option key as per instructions but there was no dialogue box to name the library.

Also when I do create the new library what is the best way to import the songs I want from the old library.

Are you holding down the Option key and then opening iTunes?

For importing, don't. Just add the songs from your Hard Drive directly via FILE > ADD TO LIBRARY.

I am holding down the option key then opening ITunes. If I do this with IPhoto a box pops up asking for the new name but not in ITunes.

Version 7.3.1 I think that is the latest. I did have 2 libraries when it was ITunes 4. I deleted that library a long time ago. While searching for this I read something that if it was in the startup folder or something to that effect, it might not work with the option key. I don't remember where I saw the artilce. I have tried to hold the option key first then start and vice versa.
Again I can get multiple libraries with IPhoto

Hmmm, mine works fine with 7.3.1.
