iDVD help required

Just got my imac and want to create DVD's to offer clients as part of my wedding pakage

Everything I do to create the slide show both in iPhoto and iDVD look great until I create the DVD - then on playing them back on the mac or TV the quality looks really poor.........

I have tried with full size tiff files and reduced size jpegs and the outcome is the same

Any ideas or do I need to look for a third party solution

It might be the TV...When I make slideshows, the quality varies depending on the TV that is playing the video.

The Ken Burns effect seems to also have an impact on quality...
