Logitech Precision problem

Hello, I just bought a logitech precision USB gamepad
It says mac compatible but I'm not having much luck.
Trying to configure it in SNES9X to play roms with it, and it seems to be picking up button clicks all the time when I'm not pressing them.
I'm not sure how to go about installing a gamepad on a mac really so maybe I've done something wrong.
Any ideas what's going on?

Nevermind I got it fixed!

Care to post how you solved this? It might help a whole lot someone else having the same problem...
