When I open Firefox for the first time from a restart or shut down, it takes 5-8 bounces in the dock before opening. But every other time I open Firefox (2nd, 3rd, 4th...etc) it opens immediately. I uninstalled and installed Firefox but did not solve it.

Anyone having the same problem?

Thats not really a problem. When the computer has booted up, it usually takes a little while to fully load, even though your desktop is displayed.

Safari after startup for me is 3 bounces.

After macbook has been running is only 1.

I kind of figured that the boot up was not complete and that was the problem with the initial slow startup of Firefox.

Thank you for your help.
