Alright, I have finally figured out how to use Mac to connect to my FTP host for my website. Now...how can I actually upload stuff from there? When I try, it tells me that my webserver cannot be modified.

I am, however, able to download things off of my server. I am sure I am doing something boneheaded...anyone know what?

Do you have the right permissions, or have you locked your files or something? What FTP program are you using?

If you're using the finder's Connect To Server, it wont work. Those mount as read-only. Sadly...

I personally use FireFTP which is a FireFox Add On - it's pretty basic but does a good job for me.

FireFTP is great. I plan on getting Transmit once I receive my Mac.

Really? Jeez....what the heck is the use in that? It would be fantastic if you could drag and drop into and out of the mounted folder.
