using POP mail account away from home?

I have a question about mail. I have a POP mail account I use at home for all my email. Is there a way to set up mail to retrieve my email from my POP account while away from my home network? Thanks.

if it's pop it should be pulling it from wherever you are anyway. it's not location specific. typically only something like an exchange server is set up location or domain specific.

Thanks. I haven't tried it yet, but was wondering if I needed to do anything specific. I guess not.
