Hey guys, new to the forums and I'm thinking about upgrading my 2 GHz Intel Core Duo MB that has 512 RAM and 80 GB HD. I think its about time that i need to invest some money in it and make it a little more powerful. I have been looking around for some good choices and i thought i would ask you guys for your opinion. Would http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822148184 be a good choice for my HD and would http://www.crucial.com/store/mpartspecs.aspx?mtbpoid=110C6937A5CA7304 be a good choice to upgrade my RAM to?

CompUSA had the RAM on sale last week $45 a stick for 1GB sticks. my wife and i are each running 2 gigs now. I got my hard drive on ebay. just be careful and check feedback and make sure you get a warranty.

New Egg and Crucial are great online stores.

Seagate should be solid.

The Seagate Momentus is a great drive, and the memory is the correct memory, though you can probably find it for less. Newegg is a great supplier, I am using them more and more.

Good luck

Ok. Thanks a lot guys. I'll keep my eyes out for a cheaper price.

Thanks again for the input.
