Keyboard produces wrong characters

Basic Mac Keyboard on G5, running OSX Version 10.3.9, produces wrong
characters such as y for z and " instead of exclamation point. Many variations. Please advise. Tried another keyboard, same problem.

Your Mac's Specs
MBP : 2.4GHz : 2GB RAM : 256MB VRAM : 160GB HDD
System Preferences>International>Input Menu.

Then select your keyboard layout.

If that isn't the problem, then I don't know.

Thanks, Levi, other languages had gotten selected. I restricted it to US.
Hope it continues working. Fine now.
