Internet Explorer Only Websites

I need to access a website that only works for Internet Explorer. I found an old version (5.2.3 I believe), but it only works about 1/2 the time. Is there anything else I can use on an iMac - firefox & safari won't work.

did you try the ie plugin for firefox?

You can make Firefox pretend to be IE (for the purposes of identification) by installing the User Agent Switcher for Firefox.

It must be using some sort of ActiveX control. In my opinion, a site that doesn't design their pages to industry standards, is a site that isn't worth visiting.

We have a site at work that only functions with IE and there is no alternative. We have to use them.

If you are in this scenario and must have access on your Mac, you really only have 2 choices of a single option - Install XP in either Parallels or Boot Camp.

And then complain - may not help, but it can't hurt to get people to realize there are other OS's out here besides MS, and using industry standards rather than MS proprietary stuff on the internet should be a mandate for any decent sized company. If the Banks can do it, so can everyone else.
