Firmware Update: Efi 1.3

If anyone is interested, there is a firmware update available for the MBPs. Looks like it might address screen flicker?

This EFI Firmware update fixes a display issue on 2.2/2.4GHz 15-inch MacBook Pro models.

This update requires MacBook Pro Software Update 1.0

Yea I tried installing it... not quite sure if it worked though.

never had a problem with my screen in the first place
installed it anyway

Because it has to do with the new LED's and the graphics card...

NPuter, did u get any sort of acknowledgement that it was actually installed after doing so?

I did. After the install was complete, it told me I was up to date with 1.3

Sweet... I got it now... not that it did anything noticeable.

I wasn't really having any problems until I installed the update! Its very slight but I'm getting like lines scanning up the screen when certain colours/textures are displayed. Mostly blues, sea, sky etc. Most noticable when the screen is dimmed, seems to be fine when it's at full brightness but definately only started when I installed update 1.3. I also thought this update resolved my issue of crashing when I plug in an external LCD but not so, I'll just have to live with shutting down every time I sussose!

Resetting the PRAM seems to have fixed the problem.
