itunes not allowing syncing to pod as not authorised

itunes not allowing me to sync THREE items; two songs and a pixar short film to my ipod as it says my computer is not authorised to play these things. I purchased these items today and its a bit of a con if i can't listen to them. Any suggestions i what i can do please?

click on the file in itunes like you were going to play it, then when it says the computer is not authorized, just type in the email and password they were purchased under... then it will let you sync them
