importing playlists into itunes?

i know this has probably been asked and answered but i did a search and didn't see anything so here it is. it seems i cant figuer out how to import my playlists that i have on my laptop to my imac....using itunes for both. anyone know how this is done?

I'm not totally sure, but here goes anyway:

Select the playlist on the left sidebar
File > Export...
This creates a TXT file.

Then on your other computer's iTunes
File > Import...
and select that file.

However, I don't know if this will work since it will be on another computer.
And I'm not sure if the playlist's tracks will actually point to the files in the other computer, or if they'll continue pointing to the first computer.

Well, you can try this. Or wait for someone else who is more knowledgeable about this.
